Introduction

The Faculty of Agriculture at Zamzam University of Science and Technology (ZUST) was established in 2014. It was the first faculty established at the University. The faculty offers diploma, Bachelors, and masters programs as well as professional short certificates, which are designed to prepare students for careers in the agricultural sector. The programs cover a wide range of fields, including plant and animal science, soil science, agricultural economics, agricultural engineering and agribusinesses.

About The Faculty

The faculty has a strong commitment to research and innovation. There are two research centers at the faculty, 1. the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Studies (SAES) and 2. Center for Poultry Production. The SAES is engaged in a variety of research projects that focus on improving agricultural productivity and Environmental sustainability. The faculty also has a strong commitment to community service. The faculty’s outreach programs provide farmers and other agricultural stakeholders with access to information and resources that can help them improve their productivity and livelihoods, while The Center for Poultry Production intends to meet the country’s training and capacity development needs in poultry production and associated operations. Poultry production can support sustainable development goals of ending poverty, increasing and economic prosperity. Additionally, animals contribute to the diversity that farms need to be resilient and such nitrogen cycling. To create year-round sustainable production, beginning with egg production. The center will be able to develop the capacities of small-scale farmers in order to create a stable market for high-quality chicken products.
