Anadolu University is a well-established institution with a long-standing commitment to internationalisation and a broad international academic network. For ZUST, the MoU opens access to that network: to academic expertise, to research infrastructure, and to an institutional culture that has placed global engagement at the centre of its identity.

What makes this partnership distinctive is the specificity of intent expressed by both sides during the visit. ZUST’s Rector was unambiguous about the purpose — to draw on Anadolu’s academic depth in ways that yield long-term, substantive gains for students and faculty at home. That kind of clarity about what a partnership is for, rather than simply that it exists, is the foundation of agreements that endure and deliver.

The MoU will be operationalised through joint working groups responsible for coordinating activity, tracking outcomes, and ensuring the partnership matures from a signed document into a living, productive academic relationship. ZUST extends its appreciation to Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel and the Anadolu University leadership for their openness and collaborative spirit throughout the visit.
