Our Commitment
Zamzam University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is dedicated to strengthening local livelihoods by empowering youth, women, and community entrepreneurs to establish financially and socially sustainable businesses. The University recognises that poverty reduction requires more than education it demands the creation of economic opportunities that foster independence and resilience. Through its BINA Business Incubation Centre (BINA), the Faculty of Business and Management, and the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Studies (SAES), ZUST provides training, mentorship, and technical support that help transform ideas into viable enterprises across Somalia.
Entrepreneurship and Business Start-Up Support Programs
1. BINA Business Incubation Centre (BINA)
Established in 2022, BINA serves as ZUST’s hub for community entrepreneurship and innovation. It offers:
More than 180 local entrepreneurs and graduates have received mentorship and incubation support under BINA between 2024 and 2026.

2. Community Entrepreneurship Training
ZUST’s Faculty of Business and Management conducts outreach workshops in Mogadishu, Jowhar, and Lower Shabelle to promote entrepreneurship among youth and women’s cooperatives. Topics include:

3. Agro-Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livelihood Projects

4. Student Enterprise Development
ZUST actively involves its students in entrepreneurship through competitions and innovation challenges. Final-year business students collaborate with community partners to develop start-up projects that address local needs ranging from solar-energy solutions to mobile-based financial services. Several of these student-led ventures have progressed to incubation under BINA, creating a bridge between university learning and community impact.
