Report on the Somali Conference on Agriculture and Food Security (SoCAS 2026)
Zamzam University of Science and Technology (ZUST) successfully hosted the Somali Conference on Agriculture and Food Security (SoCAS 2026) on 10 February
The conference was convened under the theme:
“Innovative Agricultural Solutions for Food Security and Economic Growth in Somalia.”
SoCAS 2026 brought together a diverse group of scholars, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners who engaged in insightful discussions and knowledge sharing on the future of agriculture in Somalia. The event served as an important platform for exchanging ideas, presenting research findings, and exploring innovative approaches to strengthen food security and promote sustainable agricultural development.
