About The Event
Hibad Qarsoon is a two-month cultural and arts initiative at Zamzam University of Science and Technology (ZUST), dedicated to preserving Somali cultural heritage while fostering student creativity. The program integrates structured training, interdisciplinary learning, and public engagement, providing a platform for students to explore and express traditional art forms.
Through guided instruction and collaborative learning, students engage with traditional crafts and visual arts, developing both technical skills and cultural awareness. The program connects generations of knowledge with contemporary expression, strengthening identity and creativity within the academic setting.
Activities
Students participate in structured and competitive sports that promote fitness, teamwork, and resilience, including:

- Visual Painting & Traditional Art
- Handicrafts & Applied Arts
- Leather Craft (Hargaha)
