Zamzam University of Science & Technology (ZUST) is a multi-campus private non-profit university duly registered with the Ministry of education, culture, and High Education and operates in three states in Somalia namely Banadir, South-West State, and Hirshabelle. ZUST mission is to deliver an integrated system of programs in many scientific and technical disciplines in a reliable educational and research environment that contributes to the advancement and prosperity of our communities.
Zamzam University of Science & Technology started as Agricultural Training School in 2012 to train farmers, extension workers, and field officers. The School conducted 22 training programs during that period, the multi-level training program allowed trainees to participate in workshops and get practical experience learning about farming, irrigation systems, agricultural business, and the agricultural value chain. The main purpose of the training was to rebuild, and accelerate food production of the country while promoting income generation for low-income families.
